The RESTORATION AND UP GRADATION OF SUKKUR BARRAGE PROJECT IN PAKISTAN (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
The Restoration and Upgradation of Sukkur Barrage Project in Pakistan is owned by the Sindh Irrigation Department, with project implementation and construction supervision being carried out by Mott MacDonald Limited. The project’s construction, on the other hand, is being executed by a Joint Venture between China Road and Bridge Corporation and Hubei Water Resources and Hydropower Construction Co., Ltd. The design academy of the project is credited to Changjiang Survey, Planning, Design and Research Co., Ltd. This project has a contract value of 17 billion Pakistani rupees, equivalent to approximately 91 million US dollars, and spans a contract period of 48 months. The main construction components of the project include water diversion, cofferdam, main barrage civil restoration, replacement of 56 sets of main barrage gates and lifting equipment, and installation of electrical automation equipment. Additionally, 55 sets of canal gates and their lifting equipment will be replaced and fitted with electrical automation equipment. This project marks our company’s initial foray into the Pakistani market and is therefore of profound significance.
